Big journeys begin with small steps.

Close to 900 delegates attended the SME Centre Conference 2023 held on 13 September to explore the theme of SMEs expanding “from local to global”. With the small domestic market of Singapore, it is fast becoming a must for businesses to embrace internationalisation and think beyond our local shores from Day 1.

Our Founder and Group CEO Richard Koh had the honour to present on M-DAQ’s journey growing as a Singapore-based fintech startup and shared practical insights on the pitfalls to avoid when venturing overseas. Richard was also part of a panel discussion featuring other business leaders including Alif Adam from Waistlab, Azhar Othman from Enercon Asia, and Jesher Loi from Ya Kun International. Despite coming from different industries and being at various growth stages, the panel discussed at length on topics such as navigating cultural nuances, timing in expansion, and the importance of adaptability in ensuring continued success.

As a home-grown fintech, we will continue to walk alongside the local business community and together, fly the Singapore flag high.
