Insights Sharing at Roundtable on "Journey towards Frictionless Cross-border Payments in APAC"
Earlier this afternoon, the M-DAQ Global team participated in a roundtable themed "Journey to Frictionless Cross-Border Payments in APAC" hosted by LexisNexis Risk Solutions and co-organised by the Singapore FinTech Association, where a mix of stakeholders from banks, fintechs, and consultants weighed in on the discussion.
It was a lively debate throughout the two hours of discussion covering some of the following key topics.
🔑: The future of frictionless payments will depend on the ability to solve multi-faceted challenges such as the inter-operability between domestic networks, certain and clarity in foreign exchange (FX) conversion and security, as well as timeliness of transfers.
🔑: Role of regulations and regulators - how do they change, how do they differ across domestic networks, the focus of regulators, and whether regulations protect or create necessary friction.
🔑: Impact of wallet adoption for local payment methods - will it help or hinder cross-border payments?
🔑: The roles of banks, regulators and fintech in the ecosystem - how do the different players co-exist or collaborate in innovation for the health and future of fintech?
At M-DAQ Global, we continue to leverage our expertise in cross-border FX and payments to contribute to the ever-evolving and growing fintech ecosystem as we co-create a #WorldWithoutCurrencyBorders.
